When you’re pregnant, do not….

So, I told my mom I’m pregnant. After the moment of expressing the joy and euphoria, mom told me, okay, you must remember not to…

  • squat
  • run
  • drink anything too cold
  • wear high heels
  • sit on the floor for too long

do not RUN?!!!!! My mom actually told me that??? I don’ t know whether it’s true but I’m actually taking her advice. I haven’t been out for a run in a week now! Of course, I’ve also been feeling more exhausted than usual. I have felt more cramps than usual, too. Different types of cramps, where I feel sharp pulls on all sides of my belly. If calculations are right, I’m now in the middle of my 4th week…where the baby is still a ball of cells, growing exponentially. *Squeals* I’m stoked. Everytime I think about this, I feel grateful and feel like getting up on my feet and singing praises to God. I’ll take *one* more pregnancy test on Sunday (tomorrow) to make sure it’s still there, before our first GP appointment. (In Australia you need to get a GP’s referral to any other specialists…) I’m gonna bring in 4 pregnancy tests; the doctor is gonna think I’m nuts (and to be honest, I don’t think he’s wrong in thinking that!)

I’m hoping the doctor will do a blood test so I know my hCG count (the pregnancy hormones, in layman’s term).
